Jason is now the lead execution partner in our highly successful FinTech group, where he has developed the legal structures that underpin blockchain and open-source systems. He has developed innovative decentralised structures now widely used throughout the industry and advises leading global blockchain projects throughout their entire business lifecycle regularly leading major equity and token raisings for his clients. His expertise spans tokenisation, DAOs, DeFi, CeFi, NFTs, videogames, the metaverse and L1/L2 infrastructure. His extensive background in structuring global businesses makes our Fintech group a trusted advisor across the full spectrum of Web3.0 enterprises. It has been at the forefront of innovation and pioneered key advances including early solutions for tokenising real-world assets; designing and documenting the first Cayman Islands-governed structured note programme cleared by an international securities settlement system, creating and formalizing the first Cayman foundation company vehicles for DAO wrappers and DAO-adjacent entities and designing and documenting the first Cayman Islands-based debt platform incorporating ‘private equity-style’ investments in local businesses.
Our Fintech group led by Jason delivers novel legal solutions tailored to the unique needs of each client, assisting with both the launch and scaling of new business lines.
